This Arabica coffee comes from the beautiful Araku Valley in Andhra Pradesh, where tribal smallholder farmers cultivate the coffee beans organically in small batches. To ensure that only the best beans make the cut, the beans are then harvested and processed carefully.
This coffee was ethically sourced from these farmers, who were trained * through better farming techniques to grow coffee beans of the highest quality. For producers, this means better income and better coffee for you!
The non-profit TechnoServe is introducing the Sustainable Livelihoods for Smallholder Farmers program through Walmart Foundation grant funding. The goal of the program is to enhance the livelihoods of smallholder coffee farmers, their families, and their communities.
This coffee is called GI (Geographical Indication) coffee.
Coffee shows-pleasant brightness of citrus in the Cup: it is a shiny, clean cup with citric accents and delicate acidity. The finish has tropical fruit undertones and also has light floral accents.
