Cons: 

Bread is a wheat product and contains gluten. Gluten is a protein that helps the dough to rise. Some people are sensitive to gluten and cannot digest them easily. Gluten may damage the intestine lining, impair nutrition absorption and can cause issues such as bloating, diarrhoea and stomach pain. Dieticians advise the public to avoid wheat products and go for gluten-free products. Gluten-free bread made by tapioca and potato flour is preferred.

Bread has a high Glycemic Index(GI). Food with high GI and high carbs content will increase the risk of type-2 diabetes & metabolic syndrome.
